Anamnesis is a research and engineering company focused on understanding how complex systems change, degrade, and fail over time. Our work centers on a simple premise: systems do not age according to calendar time — they evolve according to internal state.

Across geology, materials science, and industrial processes, we observe the same recurring pattern: long periods of stability interrupted by structured transitions. These transitions are not random. They occur when measurable internal conditions cross specific thresholds. Anamnesis develops tools that detect those thresholds early, allowing prediction instead of reaction.

Our core platform, the Vigil Engine, is a deterministic analysis framework designed to identify regime shifts in real-world data. Rather than relying on black-box machine learning, the system uses falsifiable physical relationships and invariant constraints. This allows results to be reproducible, auditable, and deployable in safety-critical environments.
